On Saturday we took 60 shoeboxes from school to the Operation Christmas Child warehouse. We were allowed to check the boxes to make sure there were no long stories with lots of words, that the toys were safe and there was nothing war related inside. Then we had to put special tape around the box to show it had been checked. We were also allowed to take boxes through to the warehouse and pile them up in a boy pile or a girl pile in the right age groups. I got some new ideas for the shoeboxes that we make as well. On Saturday 900 shoeboxes got checked, taped and put into big boxes ready to get sent off in a lorry on 2nd December. I liked checking the boxes the most. It felt amazing to be the last person to touch some of the boxes before the children get them.
