Year 6 recently returned from a highly successful residential visit to Thorpe Woodlands, where pupils embraced a variety of outdoor learning opportunities. Throughout the trip, children demonstrated determination and teamwork as they took part in activities such as caving, archery, climbing, high ropes, canoeing and shelter building. Many pupils overcame personal challenges and showed great resilience when faced with new experiences. The evenings were equally enjoyable, with a campfire and night walk providing opportunities for reflection and shared experiences. The visit supported pupils’ personal growth, independence and confidence, and was a highlight of their final year at primary school.
